Museo ABC

by Aranguren & Gallegos Architectos

The original brick building, that housed a brewery, was designed by José López Salaberry in the early twentieth century. Aranguren & Gallegos Architectos converted it into a museum whose collection includes around 200.000 works of art signed by 1500 artists. Access to the six-floor museum is through the courtyard, paved with tessellated triangular glass and steel tiles that also cover one façade of the building. The street-facing elevations retain the original brick exterior and are abutted by a one-floor glass cafe that screens the entrance courtyard. (PG)
