Plaza de Santa Barbara

by Nieto y Sobejano

The redesign of Plaza Santa Barbara affected an area of 10,800 square meters between Alonso Martinez Square and Mejia Lequerica Street, including the final part of San Mateo Street and Orellana Street that have been pedestrianized. This part of the city have thus gained almost 3,000 square meters of pedestrian space, with green areas and new urban furniture: one of the elements that characterize the renewed square is the design of playgrounds and green areas that, slightly raised from the pavement, break the linearity of the square.
