Iñaki Ábalos to curate Spanish Pavilion at the 2014 Venice Biennale.

Iñaki Ábalos, director of architecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design and chair professor at the Madrid School of Architecture, has been appointed curator for the Spanish Pavilion at the 2014 Venice Architecture Biennale. Ábalos proposes a critical strategy centered on the idea of the ‘Interior’: “There is no architecture without an interior. There can be no architectural idea without thought of an interior in all its orders. The interior speaks of space, and space is by definition the theme of architecture.”
